CONCLUSION
Good science uses the scientific method. This is “. . . a method of research in which a problem is identified, relevant data are gathered, a hypothesis is formulated from the data, and the hypothesis is empirically tested.” (Webster’s Encyclopedic Unabridged Dictionary of the English Language, 1989). The Theory of Evolution is one such hypothesis. MICRO evolution has been proven beyond doubt. However, MACRO evolution is sorely lacking credible scientific evidence. Science has done an exceedingly thorough job reviewing millions of fossils over the last hundred years. However, there is no trace of progressive evolution and no transitional forms. I know of no hypothesis that could persist as long as this one in the absence of credible data.
The bulwark of the Theory of Evolution is faith, not fact. It
rests on unproven assumptions that can never be confirmed. The bulwark
of Christianity is also faith. But Christians have the best attested
text from ancient history, a text that by its very nature is confirmable.
Choose you this day whom you will serve.

You may have found it difficult to locate references that examine the Theory of Evolution with objectivity. John Clayton has been involved for many years in a ministry called Does God Exist? He offers a bimonthly journal, audio-cassette tapes, correspondence courses, video tapes and other materials on a free or loan basis. He has written several volumes called Evidences of God, and these will furnish you with numerous well-documented examples from nature that the Theory of Evolution cannot reasonably explain. Does God Exist? also publishes an excellent book that deals with
the Theory of Evolution in an objective manner, and I highly recommend
it. The title is UNDERSTANDING EVOLUTION: A Christian Perspective,
by Phillip Eichman, 1998, published by Does God Exist?, 718 Donmoyer
Ave., South Bend, IN 46614-1999. This book is an invaluable resource
for anyone who wants to understand the background to the Theory of Evolution,
its basic assumptions, and its evidences. Dr. Eichman has thoroughly
researched this area, and he does an admirable job in every chapter.
I hope you will acquire this book for your own library. I want
to make it very clear that I have borrowed heavily from Dr. Eichman’s text
for my presentation on this web page. I also asked him to review
and comment on this synopsis, and have used his material with his consent.
